It invites men and women with a vocation to contribute to building a more equitable society. The activity will consist of a brief presentation of the Group, a film workshop and a roundtable discussion to exchange with members of feminist organizations and the public.

Men for Equality (VXE) is a group that emerged in Buenos Aires in May 2008. It is a comprehensive initiative, which seeks mainly to men who hold ownership to Search for a community based on the full enjoyment of human rights of all persons within it. Among their work objectives are: the struggle for democratization of the linkages and roles (with emphasis on equity in the distribution of power and rights), commitment to work against all forms of discrimination, domination and violence causes related to gender and sexual orientation, and the requirement for the implementation of government policies with a gender perspective.

VXE comprises men who pursue questions related to building a society that prevailing a new distribution of power, contrary to all forms of violence and gender discrimination cases. In that sense, it is essential to developing a critical pedagogy from a gender perspective, that impacts all social practices, especially in formal education, non formal and informal. Militant feminist women also participate in discussion forums.

VXE not recognized in any party political expression, with a wide and open to the convergence of different people sitting identified by the objectives and ideologies that are presented as founding of space.

In this introductory activity is to generate an instance of sharing with the public, as well as expand the call for construction of this new space. The activity will consist of a group presentation, very briefly, then give way to the debate film workshop "Some representations of gender roles in film fiction." The second instance is the Bureau "Dialogues by Equity", which will attempt to give an account of how one goes from different places to militancy in the pursuit of gender equity, in conjunction with feminist activists invited.
